Kichijoji is a neighbourhood in western Tokyo with a large park, shopping streets and cafes, all close to one station. This page shows a simple half-day route that ends with 30 or 60 minutes with meerkats at googoo.

1. Arrive at Kichijoji Station and use the Park Exit

Kichijoji Station is served by the JR Chuo Line and the Keio Inokashira Line. Leave by the Park Exit (South Exit, 公園口). Both the park and our cafe are on this side.

2. Walk in Inokashira Park

Inokashira Onshi Park is a short walk from the Park Exit. It has a large pond and woodland.

The Ghibli Museum, Mitaka, is on the far side of the park. Tickets are sold in advance only (as of October 2026) — see the museum's official website. For park facilities and opening hours, see the park's official page.

3. Meet the meerkats at googoo

googoo is one minute on foot from the Park Exit. We are on the 3rd floor of the Daisho Kichijoji Building, 1-5-4 Kichijoji Minamicho, Musashino-shi.

Meerkats may come close if they choose to. Please let them approach in their own way, and do not pick them up yourself. Staff explain the rules before your time starts.
